Mockup (4 - Sign In page 2)

François K.
Hi !

First of all, I'd like to thank everyone that took the time to make comments. This is very encouraging and I really appreciated it :)

I updated the Sign In page mockup according to what some of you suggested.
Here is the result : http://www.kubler.org/owncloud-mockups/login.html

As always, comments and remarks are welcome !

Have a nice day,

- I cant see the remember-me-checkbox using Konqueror 4.5.3 @ debian squeeze
- you should make the "p.info" width: 40em, as the "#login form" has an
relative width, too
- change unique elements to IDs (e.g. "p.info")

Hi Fran?ois,

I really like your mockups. In fact, I already used this layout as a base for
another page.
One problem I see is that you create a class for each menu entry, file type and
so on. They only differ in the background images/icons.The result would be a
huge css file considering all the mime types existing ;-) From my point of view
it would be more useful to use one class with a default icon and to set the
icon with a 'style="background-image:url()"' tag.
Greetings,

Jakob

Hi Jakob,

Thanks for your answer and advice !

I know it can lead to a very big CSS file. Again, this is just a mockup.
We can maybe group several mimetypes with the same icon. For example, have one icon for all "music" files (mp3, wav, flac, ogg,...).
Also, remember that the CSS will generally be downloaded only once and then be cached by the browser. So it can be easier to load it once and for all instead of loading a specific style for each line of the table.
I think the solution remains in grouping filetypes into n "families" and have an icon for each family. That would lead to n+1 CSS rules (n families + a default one).

Best regards,
