OC 7 RC 1 upgrade

Oliver Kohl D.Sc.

Hi,

I just upgraded too.

As Vincent already wrote the upgrade from 6.0.4 to 7.0.0RC1 (with MySQL
in my case) went smooth, but I've a minor problem with CSS in the files
app.

The view is totally broken as can be seen in the attached screenshot.

Keep up the great work! Thanks!

Regards

Oliver

OC 7 RC 1 upgrade

Vincent Petry
Hi,

Thanks for the feedback.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache ?

Are you using any themes ?

Cheers,

Vincent

OC 7 RC 1 upgrade

Oliver Kohl D.Sc.

Hi Vincent,

thanks for your fast reply.

I'm afraid it's not a browser cache problem. I've now tried to access my
instance from several independent browsers and networks. From Safari to
FireFox and Internet Explorer.

I've also tried to setup a completely new instance, but the same
problems here.

I don't use any special theme, just the default one.

In the logs I find the following error entries:

  Error
  PHP
  Undefined index: filter at
/var/www/owncloud/apps/activity/lib/data.php#259
  2014-07-07T21:13:26+00:00

  Error
  PHP
  Undefined index: groups at
/var/www/owncloud/settings/templates/apps.php#19
  2014-07-05T19:21:46+00:00

My system is a debian linux system (debian GNU/Linux jessie/sid)

Linux version 2.6.32-5-vserver-amd64 (Debian 2.6.32-48squeeze5)

I've the following version of PHP installed:

Zend Engine v2.6.0-dev, Copyright (c) 1998-2014 Zend Technologies
with Zend OPcache v7.0.4-dev, Copyright (c) 1999-2014, by Zend
Technologies

My web server is a nginx:

nginx 1.6.0-1

Thank you!
Cheers

Oliver

OC 7 RC 1 upgrade

Vincent Petry
How did you upgrade ? Package manager or manually replace the code ?

If you're sure that you did everything properly you might want to raise
a bug report on GitHub with these details so we can continue discussing
this there.

Cheers,

Vincent

OC 7 RC 1 upgrade

Oliver Kohl D.Sc.

Hi Vincent,

neither of them. I brought up a new instance in parallel and moved the
data directory from the "old" instance to the new one.

Thanks for your suggestion regarding GitHub. I'll do so.

Cheers

Oliver

OC 7 RC 1 upgrade

Vincent Petry
Did you also move the config folder to the new one ? (just to be sure)
You might need to adjust the config as well to point to the new data dir
(in case the name is different).

OC 7 RC 1 upgrade

Oliver Kohl D.Sc.

Hi Vincent,

thank you again for your help.

I've now created a completly new instance and didn't copy anything, I've
now reconfigured everything .... which has been quite some work.

Below can be found the git hub issues you recommended to open.

https://github.com/owncloud/core/issues/9522 [2]

Thanks

Oliver
