Share API with APP framework

jkropf
Dear Owncloud experts,

I wanna use the Share API in my own app which is based on the App Framework approach.

When the shared API does its AJAX request wthen calling "getItems" I get an error "No token found".
In the ajax request in JS it seems that there is no requesttoken submitted:

$.ajax({type: 'GET', url: OC.filePath('core', 'ajax', 'share.php'), data: { fetch: 'getItem', itemType: itemType, itemSource: itemSource, checkReshare: checkReshare, checkShares: checkShares }, async: false, success: function(result) { ....

How should that work? How can I set the requesttoken for the share api?

Unfortunately there is nothing written in the doc about that issue.

Kind regards,

Johannes

core/js/oc-requesttoken.js so no need to send it by yourself if you use

oc_requesttoken as header "requesttoken" for each request that checks

Re: Share API with APP framework

Ok, I understand.

How do I correctly use jquery as provided by OwnCloud in my own app?
Do I need to import jquery manually, what I'm doing currently, but it seems to interfere with the owncloud framework.
I guess there is another solution.

If you use jquery you dont have to watch out for anything at all. It
should work out of the box.

Re: Share API with APP framework

jkropf
Hi,

many thanks, the token issue works now, but somehow my $(document.ready(function() JS code is not called.
It only works if I manually import jquery.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?  Unfortunately I'm not a JS expert........

Kind regards,

Johannes

Olark integration with ownCloud

david-2
In reply to this post by jkropf
Hi,

I'm wanting to integrate an Olark (http://olark.com) chatbox into
ownCloud. There is an Olark script that has to be included before the
</body> tag.

But the Olark box won't display. When I trace the page execution in
Chrome, there's an error message: Refused to execute inline script
because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive:
"script-src 'self' 'unsafe-eval'"

What can I do to fix this please?

TIA for any advice, ;-)

use $(document).ready(function()

Also turn on Debug mode (see docs) to prevent js caching for development.

Btw, also turn off opcode caching, it can lead to weird development
problems, see https://github.com/owncloud/news/issues/319

Set French as default language for ownCloud

david-2
In reply to this post by david-2
Hi,

The default language of ownCloud, but I would like the default language
of my site to be French, i.e. my users see the login page in French
before logging in.

Apart from hacking the login template strings into French and choosing
French as the interface language everytime I create a user account, what
can I do to properly Francisize my site?

I see there's been a pull request from Takuto88:
https://github.com/owncloud/core/pull/4279
Please may I ask the status of this in the ownCloud dev team's plans?

TIA for any advice, ;-)

Use \OCP\Util::addScript to add the olark script, check the docs.

The feature has been merged into the master branch (=oc6) and has been backported to oc5 as well
https://github.com/owncloud/core/pull/4287

Please have a look at config/config.sample.php where the configuration options are documented.

Thanks for this info. I've been looking in the Administrator's manual,
your wiki on github and googled on '\OCP\Util' and 'addScript' but found
no instructions (just the API documentation). Plus I also trawled the
ownCloud server distrib.

Could you tell me where I might find some instructions about how to do
this?

TIA if so, and all the best anyway,

Looked through the docs and didnt really find the instructions. The
instructions should now be available in
http://doc.owncloud.org/server/5.0/developer_manual/app/app/static.html
after the next build of the documentation

Re: Share API with APP framework

In reply to this post by jkropf
Hi,

I used a recent version of the fancybox plugin which seems to be not compatible with the jquery version used by owncloud. That caused my jquery problems.

Thanks for help.

Hi,

many thanks, the token issue works now, but somehow my $(document.ready(function() JS code is not called.
It only works if I manually import jquery.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?  Unfortunately I'm not a JS expert........

Kind regards,

Johannes

If you use jquery you dont have to watch out for anything at all. It
should work out of the box.

Hide shared Calendar

Matthias
Dear Group,

is there a way to hide calendars, shared by other users, in the
webinterface? I see only a way to hide my own calendars.

Just as a recommendation because Olark is proprietary, Jappix Mini
does nearly the same: https://mini.jappix.com/ – based on XMPP and open source.

This is a known issue. Unfortunately it won’t be fixed with ownCloud
6, but hopefully in the ownCloud 7 cycle. :)
See https://github.com/owncloud/calendar/issues/21

Sorry to hear that. Being able to hide shared calendars is a feature we
miss very much. From the discussion it looks like the program design was
not careful enough.

Well, all the apps are community-driven – as Georg said this will be
fixed in the rework. If you want to help I suppose Georg much
appreciates that. Please head over to
http://github.com/owncloud/calendar/issues and check out how you can
help with the development and fixing issues. :)

Unfortunately, I'm not good at php/js coding, so I try to contribute to
owncloud only in other ways (mostly testing, reporting bugs and
translating).
