Update 7.15 -> 8.0.12: calendar app

Hermann J Beckers
I did  $SUBJECT according to the book:

renamed old instance
created new instance
untared new version into new instance
copied config.php into new instance (data dir ist outside web directory)
started upgrade: php occ upgrade: -> everything is green, calendar and, contacts app were disabled

downloaded calendar app for 8.0,
installed it in apps as "Calendar"
it shows up in not activated apps and has a button to "activate" it. Clicking that
shows "PLease wait" for a moment and the button switches to "deactivate".

But when I clicked the apps button it does not show up.
Logging out and in again shows the calender app again in the list of deactivated apps.
a restart of apache/mysql makes no difference.

Any  help?

Yours
Hermann-Josef Beckers

Check your owncloud-logfile (data/owncloud.log) for error messages.

Cheers,

Trying to enable the Calendar app manually:

  php occ app:enable Calendar

gives:

   [Doctrine\DBAL\Exception\TableExistsException]

An exception occurred while executing 'CREATE TABLE

                      "
THe unzipped directory was named "calendar" with a lower "c". I first
installed it in 3rdparty, because it is no core app (?). THen I moved it
to apps and renamed it with a capital "C". Don't know if this makes a
difference.

I run "php occ upgrade" again and the calendar app was updated

as well to 0.6.7 ... Now it can be used, all entries are available.
