how do I build the dvsdk to use the lastest git kernel?

Shlomo Kut
Hi,

We are trying to move the dvsdk from the montevista 2.6.18 kernel to the
2.6.32-rc5 git kernel.

Are there any patches for this out there?

Any ideas as to how to proceed?

Thanks for your time,

Shlomo

You want to use the DaVinci git tree maintained by Kevin Hilman.  The
kernel should build with toolchain that come with the DVSDK (you can use
other toolchains if you wish).  Just replace the uImage and the board
should come right up.

Steve

You can get a copy of the tree by

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/khilman/linux-davinci-git

Make sure you have git installed.
I have not heard any issues regarding DVSDK kernel builds.  What is the
platform you are using and what is the error?

Steve

Shlomo,

DaVinci git tree contains only the kernel.  DVSDK comes from TI.  I
don't believe there is a git tree for dvsdk, but you may want to contact
TI to verify.
